Interview

How long have you been making music and how did you decide to start?

Since I was 5 years old. It wasn't by my wish, it was by my parents wish.

What song do you remember most vividly from your childhood?

D2 - Me and You

Who are the artists you have listened to and played the most?

Regarding the electric guitar - Megadeth and the solos of Marty Freedman. And from classical and flamenco guitar - Paco De Lucia, Vicente Amigo.

Which musical style are you most advanced in?

I think all styles are complementary and so in all styles, but whenever I pick up a guitar I always start with flamenco.

What does music give you?

The highest manifestation of man. The only path to uncompromising self-awareness and freedom. A constant pushing of boundaries into expansion.

Why did you decide to start teaching music?

Because when one sees something beautiful, one wants to share it with everyone!

What is the most important thing to learn in music?

I haven't met another discipline besides music where everything you learn right away connects to prior knowledge.

What is RockSchool to you?

RockSchool to me is a belief in a common ideal and a pieties for beauty.

What music is valuable to you?

The one where there is no intermediary, but directly flows into the deep river of the human soul.

What's the most extravagant thing you've listened to lately?

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, performed by world-renowned violinist Hilary Hahn. One of those performances that makes you think about what music really is and that any text, no matter how simple, played with concept and feeling is worthy.

Do you have a dream related to music?

For every Bulgarian family to have direct and daily contact with culture.
