Careers

I love choral and wind music. One of my favorite practical subjects at the music academy was conducting a brass band. Out of curiosity, I even took saxophone lessons for a few months.

I am impressed by the film music written by John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone. Among the contemporary musicians, I am inspired by the pianist Andrey Korobeynikov, the composer and pianist Barry Harris, the opera singer Anna Netrebko. I also like Katie Melua, Janelle Mona, Michael Buble, and many others.

EDUCATION

In 2010 I graduated Music Pedagogy with a special piano instrument in the class of Prof. Snezhana Simeonova at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv.

In 2011 I also received a master's degree in AMTII with a degree in Media and Music Editing.

APPEARANCES

My sister and I have given solo concerts every year, playing individually and as a duet during our school years.

In parallel with my studies at the Academy of Music, I participated in the girls' choir Evmolpeya, with which we had many performances around Europe.

After graduating from university, I became involved in teaching.

INTERVIEW

SINCE WHEN HAVE YOU BEEN INTO MUSIC AND HOW DID YOU DECIDE TO START?
I've been making music since I was 10 and the idea wasn't mine. My aunt decided to take me and my sister to piano lessons. We went to lessons and played without asking whether or not we should and without "I want", "I don't want". I took it as if I were going to school.

WHICH SONG DO YOU REMEMBER MOST OF YOUR CHILDHOOD?
There was a children's show that I adored when I was a child. It was given in Russian and was called "In the world of animals", translated as "In the world of animals". And I loved it because of the music that was used in it. This is Ariel Ramirez's "La peregrinacion":

WHO ARE THE ARTISTS YOU HAVE LISTENED TO AND PLAYED THE MOST?
For playing, of course, the classics. And for listening - I have no special childhood memory. But I remember most vividly that as a child I heard ABBA, Bonnie M, Kaoma's Lambada, etc.

IN WHICH MUSICAL STYLE ARE YOU MOST ADVANCED?
My whole training was classic. So, the style is classical music.

WHAT DOES MUSIC GIVE YOU?
It gives me a good mood.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO START TEACHING MUSIC?
After graduating with a bachelor's degree, I immediately took a piano class for a year. Then I realized that this was really mine. And I decided that in the future I want to teach piano and I will improve in pedagogy.

WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO LEARN IN MUSIC?
Discipline, perseverance, sense.

WHAT IS ROCKSCHOOL FOR YOU?
Opportunity to practice my profession, meet interesting people and develop.

WHICH MUSIC IS VALUABLE TO YOU?
Value is usually something expensive, quality. Professionally written music is quality, valuable.

WHAT IS THE MOST EXTRAVAGANT THING YOU HAVE LISTENED LATELY?
I haven't listened to anything extravagant lately.

DO YOU HAVE A DREAM RELATED TO MUSIC?
To pass on my knowledge to students, to be useful to them.
